A Note from Susan
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Lots of things to call your attention to this week, so let’s get started...
Summer Packet
Please take a look in your child’s Friday Folder for a large manila envelope. Mrs. Rosebrook is sending home the “June packet” with more forms to fill out than should be allowed, but each very important to the operation of next school year. I think you are going to need all weekend to complete them! That is a slight exaggeration, but there is some truth to it. However, please have pity on Angela who has to sort and record all the information. Please, please, please, take some time and fill out the forms and return them as soon as possible. I don’t want Angela to be here until July processing. Let me offer an incentive that seemed to work last year. The first 20 people who put their entire completed (no missing forms) packet in Angela’s hands will get a little gift card to Starbucks. Thanks so much for your prompt response.
New Tuition Payment Option
Also, in the Friday Folders is a flyer explaining a new option for paying your tuition ONLINE! That’s right, for those of you who love to have money taken out of your banking account, you can now arrange to have your monthly (or yearly) tuition payment automatically taken out of your account. Check out the details listed below and watch for the flyer in Friday Folders. Don’t miss the fact that you can also buy scrip using the same online process.
Book Fair & Art Show
Next week is another busy week for us. The Book Fair will be open in the library. Check the newsletter for times. On Thursday we will welcome next year’s new students for a morning visit and then welcome our grandparents and honored guests at 12:45 for an afternoon visit and Mass. Thursday evening please plan on coming to the Art Show to see the beautiful, creative, and imaginative work our students have done…..all thanks to the guidance of the talented Mrs. Parmeter.
Log Volunteer Hours
I know that many volunteer hours go into the planning and execution of all these events, so please take some time to click here and log your final hours of the year by May 24th. Bills for unworked hours will go out after that date. Please log your hours so you don’t get a bill for $600!
All-School St. Stephens Lunches
Finally, we have had a request from St. Stephens for extra brown bag lunches on Tuesday (5/21). They are running low and hoped Madeleine could do an ALL School lunch to help their outreach. I know next week is busy, but if you could put a lunch or two together for Tuesday morning, that would be much appreciated!
Have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Susan

St. Stephens' Lunches
All School - This Tuesday
Our commitment to the hungry this school year has been phenomenal! With the sun shining and the end of the school year approaching, Mrs. Hoglund’s 5th grade class brought in 153 lunches. Thank you 5th Grade.
As Mrs. Steele mentioned at the beginning of Friday Footnotes, St. Michaels and St. Stephens have requested one more ALL STUDENT PARTICIPATION on Tuesday, May 22nd! We suggest that each child brings in at least six lunches, but any help is appreciated. Please include a sandwich and some snacks. Our contributions are going to be sent to Safe Place, two women and children shelters, and handed out to people during Chili Tuesday at St. Stephen’s.
Please no condiments on sandwiches. In the past, I have been asked, “why no condiments.” St. Stephens volunteers asked specifically for this change. Eggs are on the “Big 8” of food allergens. Many lunches were not being accepted because of mayonnaise on the bread.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and honoring The Madeleine tradition to help our friends in need ….one sandwich at a time.

Yes, the bad guys are at it again...this time sending texts pretending to be from Fr. Mike. As always, don’t reply.
But if you do reply and they start asking for money, or gift cards or whatever...don’t send them anything!
If you are ever in doubt as to whether a request for money or assistance is legitimate, call the School or Parish office during work hours.
