A Note from Susan

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Susan is soaking up some sunshine in Los Angeles (aka attending a conference), so once again I am filling in as her guest columnist.

She wanted to be sure to let everyone know that those families who would like to apply for financial aid for the coming year should do so ASAP since applications are due by March 15 to be eligible for Archdiocesan aid. Applications are available online at www.factstuitionaid.com.  Applications are processed by FACTS Tuition Aid, and allocations are determined by the number of people applying and the available pool of money. If you have any questions about this process, please do not hesitate to give Susan a call.

There are many things to do before we all disappear for Spring Break in one week:

Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Caryn Fiedler

(on behalf of Susan)

St. Michael's Lunches: 3rd Grade

Hurray for the third grade! They brought in 246 beautiful lunches this week.  Some had lovely artwork on the brown sacks and others showed off their talent by packing healthy, nutritious lunches.  When we deliver a carload of lunches like we did this week, it will feed our friends at St. Michael’s for three days!  Thanks for all your hard work third grade.  Because of you, many friends will eat well this week.

North Parking Lot Gardening

Saturday, March 15th from 8am - Noon

We are starting up the Care for Creation Committee’s monthly morning of gardening at the North Parking lot this Saturday.  We would love to have you join us.

There are a variety of things that need to be done, from weeding and pruning to moving paths. Come for a short time or come for the whole time. All and any help will be appreciated and counts towards your volunteer hours.

Please bring the tools that you will need, such as shovels, yard brooms, wheel barrows, etc.

Thanks for volunteering to help make our grounds better.

Questions? Contact Sara Allen at seamagoo@hotmail.com.

Do you know....?

It is already two-thirds of the way through the school year, and volunteer hours need to be completed AND logged by May 15th.  Fortunately, there are a number of opportunities left before then to earn your hours.

If you need to know what hours you have recorded already, please see the spreadsheet of volunteer hours logged.  One can be found in the Parent Workroom, next to the boys' restroom on the first floor; the other is kept in the school office with Mrs. Rosebrook.

Where do you log your hours?  Right here!

Questions? Contact Lisa Luna.
