Annual E-Waste (and more) Event, April 21, 2024
9:00 am–1:00 pm • Parish Hall Driveway
In conjunction with St. Charles, St. Andrew’s, and Holy Redeemer Parishes, The Madeleine Care for Creation Committee is pleased to announce our annual Earth Day E-Waste Recycling Event. The event is provided at no charge, but donations will be gladly accepted to help cover costs of sponsoring this event.
The event will take place on April 21 at The Madeleine Parish, 3123 NE 24th Ave, Portland, in the Parish Hall Driveway on NE 24th Avenue.
Over the years, thousands of pounds of materials have been either recycled or repurposed, and is a popular Spring Cleaning event for both the parish and the surrounding neighborhood. Thanks to our parish and local community, we collected and Green Century Recycling responsibly recycled 13,826 pounds of electronic waste during our 2022 event! Look for announcements regarding this event in our parish bulletin and e-mail communications.
We will have plenty of volunteers on hand (including our elementary students from the CLEAN Club, and adults from the Catholic parishes of St. Charles, St. Andrew’s, and Holy Redeemer). This year’s event expands once again to include more than electronics. Thanks to Ridwell, we will accept your clear plastic clamshells at no cost. We are also partnering with Nike to recycle all brands of athletic shoes (no dress shoes, please). Check back often for details on any additional items we will be collecting this year. For now, save the date and be ready to clean out your attic and basement!
Please review the list below, or click here to download this year’s event flyer.
Green Century Recycling will be on hand to accept these items for responsible recycling:
