Madeleine Parish Choir

The Madeleine Choir is the heart and soul of the Music Ministry program.  Rehearsals are Wednesdays – September through June – from 7-9 PM in the Parish Church loft.  The choir sings regularly at the 10AM liturgy every Sunday, as well as for special musical programs and feast days throughout the year.  Repertoire includes Gregorian chant, Hymnody, Gospel music and Contemporary Praise music.  All ages 16 years or older, are welcome.  Previous choral music experience encouraged but not required.  This choir is a vibrant, support faith community that sings, prays, and plays together!

Madeleine Chimes Choir

Hand chimes are a fun and accessible way to make music as a group.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, from 5:30 – 6:30PM as scheduled in the Main Church loft.  A basic knowledge of rhythm is helpful, but not required.  Hand chimes enhance liturgies during Advent, Christmas and the Easter seasons, as well as providing musical support to the Madeleine Choirs.

Parish Cantors

The Parish Cantors lead the singing at liturgies, and serve as section leaders in The Madeleine Choir.  Cantors also sing as an ensemble at Christmas, Easter, and various times throughout the year.  The Cantor should be an experienced singer, familiar with the Catholic liturgy, an effective leader, and a “team” player.  This is an auditioned ministry.

Youth Music Ministry Opportunities

Madeleine Children’s Choir

The Children’s Choir is open to all parishioners and school children, grades three – five.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 2:40 – 3:30 PM in the Parish Church loft.  The Children’s Choir sing once a month for the Family masses, carol at The Madeleine Marketplace, sing at the Grotto and for other special Parish activities throughout the year.
