Stations, Soup & Spirituality

Fridays of Lent beginning Feb. 20 • 3:30 pm

Begin with Stations of the Cross, then a potluck simple soup supper and reflections on St. Ignatius’ 14 Rules for the Discernment of Spirits with Fr. B.

Faith Sharing with Therese

Penance During Lent

Saturdays, Wednesdays, and during Parish Mission March 11

Several options throughout Lent:

  • At The Madeleine, Saturdays, 3:30-4:30 pm or Wednesday, March 11 at the Parish Mission morning session.
  • At St. Rose with Fr. Bonaventure, Wednesdays, 6 pm (except Ash Wednesday) and March 11 at the Parish Mission evening session. (Mission information below)

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

Saturday, March 14 • 6:00 pm • Parish Hall

Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus; an annual favorite with great food and an evening of authentic Irish dance.

Celtic Vespers

Tues., March 17 • 6:00 pm • Old Church

Join The Madeleine Choir in a beautiful evening of Lenten Vespers—Irish style.

Parish Mission with St. Rose

March 9–12 • 8:30 am @ The Madeleine
6:00 pm @ St. Rose

Again this year, we are pleased to offer a parish mission in partnership with St. Rose Parish. 

Come to the Fountain, led by Fr. Richard Roemer from Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Sessions at 8:30 am at The Madeleine and 6:00 pm at St. Rose. 

Daily topics include He’s Really Here; His Healing Touch; Lord, to Whom Shall We Go; Mary, Mother of the Eucharist. 

Passion (Palm) Sunday

Sat., March 28 • 5:00 pm • Sun., March 29 • 8:00 & 10:00 am

For our 10:oo am Mass only, please gather 15 minutes early in the Parish Hall to bless the palms, then process to the church. All other Masses will begin as normal in the church.

Chrism Mass

Thurs., March 26 • 5:00 pm • Cathedral

Join Archbishop Sample and his archdiocesan priests as they consecrate the sacred Chrism and bless the other oils.

Good Friday: 7 Last Words

Friday, April 3 • Noon • Fireside Room

Please join us with parishioner and Lenten book editor Marilyn Robb, who will lead us in a reflection on the Seven Last Words spoken by Jesus during his passion.
