Reader 1:\u00a0<\/strong> (Adapted from Exodus 20:8–11) <\/span>God told Moses, “Tell the people to remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy.\u00a0 Do all the work you need to do for six days.\u00a0 But the seventh day is for God.\u00a0 Don’t do any work–not you, your children, your slaves, your animals, or people who came from other countries.\u00a0 Because God made everything in six days, but God rested on the seventh day.\u00a0 That’s why God blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.”<\/span><\/p>\nReader 2:<\/strong>\u00a0 God wants us to have a “<\/span>Do Nothing Day<\/b>:\u00a0 once a week.\u00a0 Jewish people celebrate Sabbath on Saturdays, but Christians celebrate it on Sundays because that is the day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead.
