May 19, 2017

A Note from Susan

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Wow! What a week. "Spring Fling" proved to be quite an experience…fun, exhausting, fun, challenging, fun, creative, and fun. I was ready to give up after 'Wacky Wednesday', but Thursday’s' Dress Your Best' for Grandparents Tea returned some sanity to the daily routine.  We have so many people to thank for helping with all the activities this week….Art Show, Book Fair, Jogathon, Grandparents Tea, Spirit Week, 7th Grade Bake Sale, and First Communion on Sunday. (Did I forget anything?) And a big thank you to the chairs of all these events. They don’t just happen on their own. Only when generous people step forward to lead……Thank you so much.

Now on to next year…… Please take a look in your child’s Friday Folder for a large manila envelope. Mrs. Rosebrook is sending home the “summer packet” with more forms to fill out than should be allowed, but each very important to the operation of the school. I think you are going to need the entire weekend to complete them! That is a slight exaggeration, but there is some truth to it. However, please have pity on Angela who has to sort and record all the information. Please, please, please, take some time and fill out the forms and return them as soon as possible. I don’t want Angela to be here until July processing. Let me offer an incentive that seemed to work last year. The first 20 people who put their entire completed (no missing forms) packet in Angela’s hands will get a little gift card to Starbucks. Thanks so much for your prompt response.

                                                Have a wonderful weekend,

                                                                Susan

balloonsIt Was a Fun Day! Thanks for Your Support!

The Jogathon is a highlight of the school year and this year, with the fabulous weather, was no exception.

Many thanks for helping your child bring in pledges to support this important fundraiser. Kudos to Shelby Walker and Kelsi Charlesworth O’Connor for chairing, to Ann Reno for being the “cheerleader” at our Monday assemblies, and to the many volunteers who helped count laps, set up, clean up, and helped with the many other behind the scenes chores.

Art Show Success, Thank You Mrs. Galash!

After 7 years in the Madeleine Art Classroom, we'd like to thank Mrs. Galash for all her hard work, dedication and creativity. Last night's art show was a huge success thanks to all the parents, grandparents, friends, Madeleine students, volunteers and especially Mrs. Galash. This year's show featured more than one thousand pieces of visual art all thanks to our talented Mrs. Galash and the student body.

Congratulations to the students for all their creativity and dedication in the art room this year.  Look for your child's art portfolio to come home soon.
