May 12, 2017

A Note from Susan

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We have a very busy week coming up beginning on Monday. It has been dubbed “Spring Fling” and I don’t know how we could have packed any more activities into 5 days. The Student Government is sponsoring Spirit Week with a different theme for each day. The spring Book Fair will be in the library all week. We will be hosting our Grandparents/Special Persons on Thursday for afternoon tea, a tour of the school, and school Mass at 2:00pm. Thursday evening the annual Art Show will showcase student work that has been created this year. And Friday afternoon the Jogathon will be the main event. Grades K-4 will be running from 1:00 to 1:50 and then Grades 5-8 will take the field at 2:00 to 2:50. Finally on Sunday, our 2nd graders will receive their First Holy Communion at the 10:00am Mass. Quite a variety of activities for one week.

If you are planning on volunteering for any of the events next week, please be sure you have completed all the Called to Protect (the Archdiocesan child abuse prevention program) requirements for this year. I have sent out 3 emails this week alerting parents who need to renew their background checks, view the online video Social Media, and/or read the Standards of Conduct document. I must send a report to the Archbishop next week and I will have to “inactivate” any volunteer who is not in compliance. If you received an email from me, and wish to continue volunteering, please try to complete any tasks before Monday. Thanks so much.

Also, don’t forget to log your volunteer hours before May 22nd. Bills will be going out for any unworked hours after that date. CLICK HERE to record your hours. Questions??? Give me a call.

Hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day weekend.

                                              Sincerely,

                                              Susan
