Alleluia, alleluia. Now if the weather would just cooperate to make this Easter weekend suitable for the family Easter egg hunt.
I hope you enjoy your long weekend. We will see you back at school on Tuesday, April 18th.
Sincerely,
Susan

2017 Annual Fund Campaign Questions Answered...
Question: Doesn’t tuition cover the cost of educating my child?
Answer: The tuition parents pay covers 75% of the true cost of educating our students, leaving a current gap of $1,885 per child that must be met through fundraising activities. Multiplied by 258 students, you can see that the need is great and your participation vitally important. With Annual Fund dollars to help close the gap, tuition will remain affordable, and The Madeleine School will remain a vibrant Catholic School in our community.
Action: It's not too late to contribute to the 2017 Annual Fund Campaign. Give what you can because if we raise $27,500, the Joseph E. Weston Public Foundation will match it with another $27,500.

Thank You to the Thor Family
Many thanks to the Thor family (Kindergarten) for making 14 wooden crosses for the students to use during the Living Stations of the Cross. The Thors family not only bought all the wood, but also did all of the construction themselves. This contribution really heightened the Living Stations of the Cross experience for all the students in the school!
Thank You to the Development Office Volunteers
The Development Office would like to thank five wonderful volunteers who spent a few hours of their time to help with the Annual Fund Campaign mailing to Madeleine alumni. The volunteers helped stuff, seal, label and stamp over 1,000 letters! This group effort is bound to yield great results and help us reach our goal of raising $27,500 in order to get a $27,500 match! Thank you to Lindsie Campbell, Joanna Curley, Ryan Dodge, Chamber Dorheim, Deborah Naugler.

New Audio/Video Ministry needs your help!
We are putting together a team of ministers to assist in running the video screens and sound system during our weekend liturgies. This is a very important ministry, as both sound and screens help to enhance our worship experience.
Both ministries make use of technology, so comfort with an iPad for the sound
levels, and presentation software on a laptop computer for the video screens
are very helpful. (Similar to Powerpoint—you run the presentations that have
been built for each Mass, and will not need to edit or create them.)
Even more important, though, is a good understanding of the Mass and of music.
Interested? Please contact Rich Hammons, rhammons@themadeleine.edu or Maria Manzo, mmanzo@themadeleine.edu, at the Parish Office.
"NO CUPCAKE LEFT BEHIND"
Thank you so much for your generous support of the Altar Society Bake Sale! We raised a total of $1,213 for the benefit of many organizations that give those in need a helping hand. Thank you for helping us continue this worthy tradition!
82nd Annual Seminary Tea

Please join The Seminary Tea Committee at the 82nd Annual Archbishop’s Seminary Tea being held at the Portland Golf Club. This annual spring event is a lovely opportunity to meet Archbishop Sample and the many Seminarians who are supported by this event.
The tea is a tradition in the Catholic community to gather in a beautiful setting to enjoy conversation, delightful refreshments, and, of course, tea. ALL ARE WELCOME. Bring your spouse, your kids, your extended family and friends.
Admission is $35. You can pay when you arrive or contact Mary Kay Beaudoin for advance registration at 503.297.2994 or mkbeaudoin@comcast.net.
Proceeds from the tea support the education of seminarians who are preparing to serve in our archdiocese. Any additional contribution you wish to make is appreciated and tax exempt.

Watch for a Change to your electronic donations
New payment processor saves us money, but your statement will look different
Over the next few weeks, The Madeleine Parish will be changing to a new
payment processor. Making this change enables us to enjoy a significantly
lower cost for all of our credit, debit and ACH processing.
While we are trying to make it as transparent as possible to you, you may
notice a change on your bank statement or credit card statement. In rare
cases, you may get a call from your bank or card issuer, or even our bookkeeper,
Nadia Stickney.
Once the change is made, you will notice your generous payment will be
listed as “St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church” instead of “church of st
mar des:ach” as it formerly appeared.
If you have any questions, please contact James Wurzer, Business Manager
at The Madeleine. 503.281.5777 or jwurzer@themadeleine.edu.
Congratulations for making it all the way to the end of Friday Footnotes!
