General Closure Information

The Madeleine School generally follows Portland Public Schools’ weather-related closure/late start decisions. There are many ways to be informed of closure status:

1. Text Message: We will send a text message to everyone subscribed to the service as soon as a closure is determined.
2. Local News stations. Look for “Portland Public Schools” or “Portland School District”
3. View Portland Public Schools Twitter:@PPSConnect. Might not want to follow it, though, as there’s lots of information not pertinent to us that gets posted to that account. NOTE: you do not need to have a Twitter account to access this page.
4. View Portland Public Schools’ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/pps.homepage. NOTE: you do NOT need to be a Facebook member to access this page.
5. FlashAlert: We also post our closure information to FlashALert at www.flashalert.net/id/TheMadeleineSchool. You can view our closure status there, or subscribe by email or text message using the directions posted at that site.
